Vilfredo Schurmann is a sailor and economist, he worked as a financial consultant for large Brazilian corporations before changing his life on land for the pleasure of traveling the world with his family aboard a sailboat. Together, they have completed three rounds around the world in more than 30 years sailing. Over the years, the pollution of the oceans caught the attention of Vilfredo Schurmann who, along with his family, started to act increasingly focused on environmental education and sustainability.
